Terms of service

Last updated: July 30, 2026

The short version

Brier is a journal for your own decisions and predictions. Your content stays yours. The service is provided as-is while in beta, don’t use it to break the law, and be aware that it offers reflection, not advice.

The service

Brier lets you log decisions and predictions with confidence scores, reminds you to review them, and shows you statistics about your own judgment. It is currently free while in beta. If paid plans are introduced later, these terms will be updated first and existing users will be told before anything changes for them.

Your account

You sign in with your email address and are responsible for keeping access to that inbox secure, since anyone who controls it can sign in as you. You must be at least 16 to use Brier. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service (spam, attempts to breach security, illegal content).

Your content

Everything you write in Brier belongs to you. You grant us only the limited license needed to store it, back it up, compute your statistics, and show it back to you — nothing more. We do not publish, share, or sell it. You can export it or ask for deletion at any time, as described in the privacy policy.

Not advice

Brier measures how well-calibrated your confidence is. It does not provide financial, legal, medical, or psychological advice, and its statistics should not be the basis for decisions in those domains. What you decide, and what you conclude from your own record, is yours.

Availability and warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it up and to keep your data safe, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service or zero defects, especially while in beta. Keep exports of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the last twelve months or ₹1,000. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Ending things

You can stop using Brier and request deletion whenever you like. We may discontinue the service with reasonable notice, in which case you will have time to export your data first.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; significant changes will be announced on this page before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
