Privacy policy

The short version
Brier is a private journal. Your entries are yours: we read them only with machines and only to run the product, we never sell data, and we run no advertising or analytics trackers on your content. You can download everything or delete your account at any time.
What we collect
Your email address, used to sign you in and to send the reminder and digest emails you control. The journal entries you write: decisions, predictions, reasoning, confidence scores, outcomes, and lessons. Standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) that our hosting providers record for security and debugging, retained briefly. That is the whole list. We do not collect names, phone numbers, contacts, or location, and we do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
How your data is used
To operate Brier: storing your entries, computing your calibration statistics, and emailing you when a review is due or a weekly digest is ready. Emails can be switched off in the account menu. We do not use your content to train machine-learning models, and we do not sell or rent any of your information to anyone.
Where it lives
Entries are stored with Supabase (our database and authentication provider), protected by row-level security so that your rows are readable only by your account. Email is delivered by Resend. The site is hosted on Vercel. Each of these processors handles data under its own privacy commitments, and none of them is permitted to use your content for anything except providing their service to us.
Your controls
Export: the account menu has a one-click download of your entire journal as a spreadsheet. Deletion: contact us at the address below and we will permanently delete your account and all entries within 30 days; deleting your account removes the data from the live database immediately and from backups as they expire. Email: reminders and digests can be turned off in the app at any time.
Cookies
We use only the cookies required to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Children
Brier is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will note it on this page and, for significant changes, email you.
